Our Mission: Care That Honors Each Individual
softvalesa was founded on the belief that senior living should be unhurried, dignified, and deeply personal.
Return HomeOur Story
softvalesa began in early 2019 when a small group of caregivers in Chiang Mai noticed a recurring pattern: families seeking residential care often felt rushed through decisions, and seniors themselves rarely had opportunities to express what mattered most to them. The founding team — with backgrounds in nursing, social work, and hospitality — recognized the need for a different kind of approach.
Located in the Nimmanhemin neighborhood, softvalesa was designed from the start to be a place where residents feel at ease. The team selected this vibrant area deliberately, knowing that proximity to cafes, green spaces, and cultural venues would allow residents to maintain connections with the broader community while enjoying the support they needed.
From the beginning, softvalesa has prioritized listening over prescribing. Rather than implementing a one-size-fits-all routine, the team works with each resident to understand their preferences and rhythms. This collaborative approach has shaped everything from meal planning to activity schedules, creating an environment where residents genuinely feel heard and respected.

What Guides Our Work
At softvalesa, we understand that moving to a residential care setting represents a significant transition. Our philosophy centers on creating an environment where residents feel genuinely welcomed and respected. This means taking time to understand individual communication styles, honoring personal routines, and adapting our approach based on what each person finds most comfortable.
We value patience. Staff members are trained to listen carefully, observe subtle cues, and respond thoughtfully rather than rushing through interactions. This unhurried approach allows residents to maintain a sense of agency and dignity in their daily lives.
Our location in Nimmanhemin reflects our belief that senior living should not mean isolation from the wider community. Residents benefit from the neighborhood's cultural richness, with easy access to parks, cafes, and markets. This integration supports continued social connection and a sense of belonging beyond the care home itself.
Transparency is central to how we operate. Families receive regular updates about their loved one's well-being, and residents are always included in conversations about their care. We believe that open communication builds trust and helps everyone feel more at ease with the arrangement.
